Welcome to Home From India! This is an exciting time for me as I launch this business, since it’s something that I’ve been thinking about doing for quite a few years. The idea came to me during my many visits to India, where I was always amazed at the wide range of beautiful textiles, home décor and handicrafts that can be found there.
So last year, I took a leap of faith, quit my job, moved to the East Coast to be closer to my family and decided to start a business! I went to India late last year and was able to develop relationships with some great vendors. It was fun working with those vendors to choose and design products, and I learned a lot in the process. I also had the opportunity to visit friends and family and do some sightseeing, so it was a very fun, productive trip. I've included a few pictures from my trip--sightseeing and work!
It has been a busy few months for me since returning from India to get everything up and running. Thanks to my friends and family, both here in the U.S. and in India, who have been so supportive--especially my mom and sister.
